Set list had a great mix of old and new, Adam and the rest of the band looked and sounded as good as they did in the late 90's.

There were plenty of bar areas on each side of the venue, but getting to them between all the people standing was quite tedious yet eventually doable. If the ground was sloped like stadium seating would be, that would’ve made seeing above others’ heads much easier. Standing for well over 3 hours packed in with hundreds of people with no option to sit (like most venues would have), was extremely uncomfortable.īeing able to see the stage was kind of okay. This venue is all open-air with walls surrounding all sides and no roof. Thankfully, it didn’t end up raining on us. Rating: 3 out of 5 Uncomfortable by SusieQ on 8/9/22 Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkĪdmittedly, it was a hot, summer’s eve.Adam rambles at times, perhaps he could feel that the crowd just wasn't with him. I was really looking forward to this show, and left half-way through. The band: Well, it was 90degrees outside, the crowd sucked, and the venue was unsupportive, and the band did the best they could.

Chill people, free music, and waaayy better sound. Sit outside the venue on the boardwalk, lawn, and parking dividers. I've seen some great shows from inside the Stone Pony, but the summer stage flat out sucks. Rude crowd, drunk and spilling beer on our feet, non-stop talk, pushing forward to pack people up front because you can't see from anywhere else. on 8/10/22 Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury Park Love the Pacific Amphitheater venue though. It was disappointing and unfortunately, I probably won't go to another one of their concerts. It was like a broadway performance, not a concert. The entire group behind us kept trying to sing along and they were all off because the beat was off. It was like Adam was speaking the lyrics and not singing them. We didn't like how all the songs weren't played with the same beat that we all know and love them.

Rating: 2 out of 5 Wasn't impressed by Kathy H on 8/10/22 The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa Mesa. The band is amazing an Adam is a performer in the true sense of being a performer. I have been to almost 60 shows and have never been disappointed. If you are going to just hear the radio hits and radio edits you may be disappointed if you are not open to alternate versions. on 3/10/23īy far my all time favorite band especially live. Rating: 5 out of 5 Capitol Theater by d.In late 2013, fans were delighted by the news that the band were returning to the studio to begin work on a new album, slated for a 2014 release. Jones" and "Round Here." Both songs remain '90s alt-rock anthems, garnering fervent audience reaction on the Crows' 2013 tour dates. 4 on the Billboard 200, propelled by catchy, powerful singles like "Mr. The band's 2013 shows displayed the same energy they've had since breaking onto the scene in 1993, when they performed as stand-ins for Van Morrison at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony and impressed attendees with their powerhouse performance of Morrison's "Caravan." That same year, the band's album debut August and Everything After reached No. The album reflected the band's pristine sets on the tour, which treated ticket buyers to Adam Duritz's haunting lyrics, the band's tight musicianship, and intense, emotional renditions of hits like "Rain King." On both the album and in concert, the band approached old and new material with a fresh eye, surprising fans with alternate versions of hits like "Round Here" and exploring new territory with covers of Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead. In November 2013, Counting Crows released their seventh album Echoes of the Outlaw Roadshow, a live recording from their recent stint as headliners on the Outlaw Roadshow festival tour.
